Goenka. Vipassana Meditation discourse on Day 1.

This is something I thought would never see the light of day. If your familiar with a 10 day Vipassana course then you will remember these video tapes of Goenka. If you haven't done a 10 day sit then these videos may seem a little out of context but still helpful. The uploader(nachitolit) has promised the other 9 days soon. Wow! Glad I'm not transferring 10 VHS tapes to AVI. Metta!

S N Goenka. Vipassana Meditation discourse on Day 1.For more info on Vipassana visit www.dhamma.org.

Neither of these books are in Audio book format so an upload would be rather difficult.

I did the 10-day course in Massachusetts some years ago and I now feel the need to start anew. I live in Estonia (Europe) now but I have to take care of my sick husband and therefore cannot trvel to a nearest vipassana centre. I am sorry to be so dumb on cumputer matters but I can't even download Goenca-ji's discourses. Could someone please be so kind and give me step-by-step guidance how to do it? Thank you in advance. Inna

Hi Erick,

Please don't upload "Dalai Lama Renaissance."

I am the independet producer-director of "Dalai Lama Renaissance," and I spent about 7 years of my life, and spent my own money to fund the film (including taking a home equity loan from my house).

Sharing copies of "Dalai Lama Renaissance" will hurt my ability to creat more films (which I am creating in an effort to inspire audiences and impact audiences in a positive way).

Thank you for respecting my efforts in creating the film.

I second the call for not sharing The Dalai Lama Renaissance movie. I saw this movie at my local theatre and have never felt so ripped off since I saw What the Bleep. I had meant to write a film review of the movie at the time but it had slipped my mind. Now I can say that this movie was a thinly veiled exploitation of The Dalai Lama, who was hardly in the film and the narration by Harrison Ford was non-existent as he perhaps at best said 2 paragraphs of dialogue. A quick scan of Internet reviews will confirm the shoddy review I give this film, apart from the film makers website that is plastered with how many awards the film has won. At best I would give this film a 4 out 10.
